American Bar Association Section on Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER) Law

Eligible law students are those who, at the time of entry, are enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school during the academic year of the Competition, are legal residents of the U.S., and at least 18 years old. Papers should focus on a question of legal and/or policy significance relating to public land and resources law. The ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources is sponsoring five law student writing competitions this year and the winner of each competition will receive a $1,000 cash prize. All entries are due by May 31st.

 

Competition topics include:

• Air, Climate, and/or ESG
• Biodiversity and/or Water
• Energy and/or Resource Recovery
• Forest Resources, Public Land, and/or Mining
